Important piece of literature, poignant & well written
This story covers a period in history that Black people especially will never forget. The references throughout are so correct, so full of feeling. They show a real grasp of this situation in both time and place. Read the opening chapters and you are hooked. We cannot forget how complex mental illness is. We must learn from this. Well done.
