- We use sleep to relax, to diminish anxiety, to rest our eyes, and to make us sharper. We may choose to nap throughout the day, but these strategies do not relieve fatigue. The brain does not recharge and its numerous tissues simply deteriorate. Research shows that single Moms and Dads need more sleep not less sleep.
- When we sleep, the body restocks energy supplies that are depleted during the day. When you sleep the body figures out what is happening and tries to help. In this way it encourages some organs to be more active while sleeping and others to calm down.
